Thankfulness

To be grateful for all that we have in our daily lives

"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take it, this is my body.’ Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it." (Mark 14:22-23)

Peace

To show we listen and learn from the teachings within the Scriptures to be tolerant of others

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."  (Galatians 5:22-23)

Perseverance and Hope

To work hard and have hope for our future

"Hope is coupled with faith and love as one of the three most enduring gifts of the Spirit." (Corinthians 13:13)
"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."(Romans 15:4)

Friendship

To be a loving friend at all times, to be kind and helpful

"A friend loves at all times." (Proverbs 17:17)

Forgiveness

To be honest and forgiving of others, learning to move forwards

"Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." (Colossians 3:13)

Trust

To have faith in the people around us, to be safe and show respect for everything and everyone

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me." (John 14:1)

St Mary's Values and Reflection

Please find attached booklets on our Values and Reflection, from YR until Y6.

Our Year 5 & 6 booklet is where we hope our children aspire to reach by the end of their time with us at St Mary's, enabling them to be fully grounded and well respected citizens for the future.

The guidance for YR to Y4 supports these outcomes, and we hope that this guidance supports parents in an explanation of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development taught at St Mary's in keeping with our vision statement (attached) and focus of :

Love    Learn    Grow
