  • Jaymie-Leigh Fundraising

    Wed 19 Apr 2023

I am happy to share the fantastic fundraising efforts of one of our pupils, Jaymie-Leigh.

Jaymie-Leigh decided that she wanted to help children who have lost their hair due to cancer.

In her own words she stated that she felt very sad for them as she has very long hair and they don’t have any; she wished she could give them some of hers.

On 25th March Jaymie-Leigh had 16 inches of her hair cut and raised a £154 for the Little Princess Charity.

Before and after photographs at below, well done Jaymie-Leigh!

  • Official School Opening

    Mon 18 Nov 2019

Children, parents, dignitaries and staff were in attendance at the recent opening service of St Mary’s Wavendon CE Primary School in Eagle Farm.  The school values were celebrated throughout the service, and modelled in the view by the Rt Hon Mayor of Milton Keynes who told the children that they held their future, and the future of Milton Keynes in their hands.  Rev Matt Trendall of St Mary’s Church, Wavendon, blessed the time capsule prior to its burial in the school grounds.

We are grateful to all those who have helped to make St Mary’s a fantastic school.  We now look forward to making it a very special place in which to:

  • National Storytelling Week with Year 5

    Mon 07 Jan 2019

Stories were brought to life in front of 15 of our Year 5 children, during a Storytelling event at David Wilson Homes South Midland's development Eagles' Rest in Milton Keynes.

St Mary's was lucky enough to be invited along to visit one of the newly build show homes, and attend a storytelling session, hosted by professional storyteller, Richard York, in aid of National Storytelling week.

Amanda Dicks, Head Teacher at St Mary's Wavendon C of E Primary School said  "Richard was amazing and so inspirational for our children who all went home telling their own stories, using their imagination to elaborate upon what they had heard earlier in the afternoon."
