Uniform

The governors have adopted light and navy blue as the school colours. Sweatshirts and polo shirts, with the embroidered school logo, can be purchased from Maisies Superstore, 60/64 Church Street, Wolverton, Milton Keynes MK12 5JW. They have been supplying uniform for local schools since 1963.

All the uniform can be tried on in the shop or can be ordered online here:

Maisies Superstore

Grey trousers, shorts, pinafore dresses or skirts (of a suitable length, not significantly above the knee) may also be worn. It is important that all the children feel comfortable in their clothes and shoes and can dress and undress themselves.

Whilst there is no specific rule about coloured socks and tights, we do ask that the colours are in keeping with that of our uniform - except for special "coloured socks" or "odd socks" days! We are understanding that cost is often an issue, and allow for non- logo kit to be worn providing it is the correct colour. We also keep a stock of second hand uniform which can be purchased by contributing a donation to the Friends Association. Please contact the School Office for further information. Water bottles are needed every day to ensure your child is keep hydrated. School branded ones can be purchased from the School Office for £1, or alternatively non branded can be brought in from home.

Children need an outdoor pair of sensible, black shoes to wear to school. High-heeled shoes, clogs, flip flops, trainers or other unsuitable footwear should not be worn in school. We also ask for your support regarding make-up, nail varnish and jewellery, as this should not be worn at school. Children with pierced ears may wear only one stud in the lobe of each ear. A watch may be worn.

Children need a change of clothes for PE as detailed. This needs to be brought to school in a named draw-string bag (available from School Uniform Suppliers or similar, available at many supermarkets). For gymnastics, children will work in bare feet in the hall to encourage correct development and for reasons of safety. Plimsolls (or trainers with white soles for older children) will be needed for indoor and outdoor games lessons. In addition to the stated uniform, children may choose to bring a separate, dark sweatshirt or similar to wear as additional warmth during outdoor PE sessions. For safety reasons, jewellery must be removed by the child him/herself, before any physical education lesson to avoid the risk of a severe injury either for the child or others. It is recommended that if your child wishes to have their ears pierced, this is done during the summer break. Long hair must be tied back with a bobble, for both boys and girls.

Following a safety inspection of the premises in July 2020 it is expected that:

  • PE kits are brought to school in a named draw-string bag (available from School Uniform Suppliers or similar, available at many supermarkets).
  • Book bags are used by all pupils in all classes for reading books, library books, letters home and homework
  • NO RUCKSACKS ARE BROUGHT INTO SCHOOL AS THE CLOAKROOMS ARE BECOMING TOO CONGESTED AND UNSAFE IN THE SPACE WE HAVE AVAILABLE.
