Special Educational Needs
St Mary’s Wavendon serves children of all abilities. We aim to challenge and support the able child as well as those experiencing difficulties. Specific needs will be addressed when necessary and extra support is given to children with SEN as well as target groups of children who need extra support in certain areas. All parents are involved in their child’s learning. Parents of children with SEN will have regular meetings to review their child’s progress/changing needs. It is important that we work together to support your child.

Admissions arrangements for SEND students:
Children with special educational needs will be treated as fairly as any other applicant. The council does not permit refusal of admission because it is claimed that the school cannot cater for the child's needs and will consider applications in line with the oversubscription criteria.
