On the first day of absence parents should call the school office on 01908 582182 or email email@example.com to tell us that their child will be absent and why.
This should be done before morning registration.
Parents should give an indication, if possible, of how long their child is expected to be absent from school. The school office staff will ensure this information is passed to the class teacher.
It is unlikely for absences to frequently be for the whole family, and patterns such as these will be monitored and the LA informed of such patterns.
Parents should contact the school daily during the child’s absence. If parents fail to contact the school, a member of school staff will contact the parents by telephone to query the absence.
