Young Carers

At our school, we recognise the incredible dedication and resilience of young carers—children and young people who take on responsibilities at home to support a family member who may have an illness, disability, mental health condition, or addiction.

Being a young carer can mean helping with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, or looking after siblings, as well as providing emotional support and companionship. While caring for a loved one can be rewarding, it can also bring challenges, including balancing schoolwork, friendships, and personal wellbeing.

We are committed to creating a supportive and understanding environment for our young carers. Our team is here to listen, provide guidance, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive both academically and personally. If you or someone you know is a young carer, please reach out—we are here to help.
