Welcome to St Mary's Wavendon Church of England School 

A very warm welcome to St Mary's Wavendon Church of England School. Nestled in the heart of Wavendon, our school is a vibrant and nurturing community where every child is valued, supported, and inspired to flourish. Rooted in Christian values, our ethos is built upon love, respect, and compassion. At the heart of our school is our shared vision:

With God’s help we care for one another, are curious in our learning, and know we are all loved.” This is beautifully reflected in our core values of Love, Thankfulness, Peace, Perseverance and Hope, Friendship, Forgiveness, and Trust—values that are not only taught, but lived throughout our school community. 

Our guiding scripture, taken from Luke 10:27, reminds us daily: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.” These words are central to who we are, shaping our culture and inspiring our motto: Love, Learn, Grow. 

As part of the Inspiring Futures through Learning (IFtL) family, we are proud to collaborate with a network of schools dedicated to educational excellence. In particular, we have a strong and growing relationship with Glebe Farm School, our feeder school and fellow IFtL partner. This close connection allows us to provide a smooth and supportive transition for our pupils and enriches our shared approach to learning, values, and community.
